Demonstrating a New Approach to Care

In July 2013, Arise Healthcare took on its first owned hospital venture with the purchase of Austin Surgical Hospital in Austin, Texas.  Plagued with financial troubles since it’s opening in 1997, the hospital was on the verge of closure.

Since Arise has taken over, however, the renamed Arise Austin Medical Center has seen a major turnaround in both services and finances.

Arise Opens New Physician-Owned Hospital in Austin

An affiliate of Arise Healthcare is opening a new, acute care hospital with a physician-owned structure in West Austin.

The hospital, named Arise Austin Medical Center, aims to provide the Austin community a new choice in their healthcare. Arise Austin Medical Center will operate at 3003 Bee Cave Road, at the site of the former Austin Surgical Hospital. Read More…

Austin Surgical Hospital Acquired by Arise Austin

Arise Austin Medical Center purchased all of the assets—licenses, permits and equipment—of Austin Surgical Hospital and finished the resyndication process July 15, AAMC CEO Diana Zamora said.

Zamora said that by resyndicating, the hospital allowed for a smoother transition and for quicker asset transactions. The resyndication also let AAMC purchase the facility without acquiring any of the previous owner’s debt. Read More…

Becker’s Says: Eyes on Arise

Arise Healthcare has been named one of the country’s top 50 ASC companies to watch in 2014 by a prestigious industry news organization.

Becker’s ASC Review released its official “50 ASC Management & Development Companies to Watch in 2014” based on companies that have “have guided their centers through a challenging healthcare environment,” adding “many developed new strategies for success going forward.” Read More…
